A Warm Welcome to Curly Brackets' Seti Counters.
Last modified: 27.05.2004 - SETI Synergy still down
This is Curly Brackets' SETI counter page, a free user and team stats counter for
the Seti@Home project of
the University of Berkeley.
Seti@Home is about analyzing
data gathered by the Arecibo radio telescope and trying to find signals from other civilizations
in space. SETI@home is a distributed computer project, utilising computers from all over the
world to analize chunks of data sent out to users who 'crunch' these work units on their home
computers.
All of you can join in, create a user account at Berkeley and start crunching. There are
clients for practically all operating systems, and the software uses your computer when it would
idle along otherwise.
If you have a home page of your own, or if you take part in a message board, you can use the
counters provided here. Thet's more interesting than just have a link to
Seti@Home.
This counter has been created by
Jesus
Originally it came from Amanheis.de
and it was modified to cater for things like team counters and many layouts to choose from.
If you haven't lost interest by now you can work towards creating a counter for yourself by
clicking the link to the left.
I hope you have fun....
