This is Curly Brackets BOINC page

Yes, Curly Brackets has been one of those crazy crunchers on the SETI@home project for ages.
I am a member of the team BOINC Synergy and we are a truly international bunch with members from almost all over the world.
If you are interested in BOINC I'd suggest you have a look at their web site to get some more information. To explain briefly what it's all about, originally it had to with analyzing radio signals from Arecibo Radio Observatory. Radio signals recorded there are broken down into chunks and distributed to computers all over the world for analyzing. So if you were a SETI user, you'd get a software which downloads so called work units from SETI@home, analyzes them and sends the results back to the servers. There are more than 5 million users at the moment who take part in this project and many of them are organized in groups like BOINC Synergy. But there's more than that. Started in 1999, the old 'classic' SETI@home project is nearing the end of its life span and there's a successor called BOINC, short for Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing. More powerful than the old SETI@home software, BOINC is no longer restricted to the search of extraterrestrials, but - as the name suggests, open to things like Predictor@home, a project that assist scientists in predicting the structure of proteins or Climate Prediction Net,the largest experiment to try and produce a forecast of the climate in the 21st century.
There's even more projects waiting around the corner and things are looking more and more interesting.

Then I take part in LHC@home (counter comes courtesy of BOINC Synergy)

Then I'm also on Climate Prediction.net (counter again courtesy of BOINC Synergy)

And also I'm taking part in Pirates@home (counter once again courtesy of BOINC Synergy)

Finally I'm taking part in Einstein@home (counter once again courtesy of BOINC Synergy)
